In the Internet age, spam has become a way of life. Not only do spam e-mails fill up your inbox with ads you don’t need, but their contents also pose serious threats to your computer, finances, and personal safety. Since spammers are getting wiser through time, you need something more than just personal effort to reject and delete junk mails. Here are some tips to help you keep your inbox spam-free:
Types of email spams
There are two broad categories of spam e-mails: spamvertisements (a portmanteau of spam and advertisements) and unsolicited bulk e-mails. Both types may be further classified into ads for legitimate products, ads enticing recipients to participate willingly in fraudulent transactions, Internet hoaxes, phishing scams, and those with attached, linked, or embedded viruses. While e-mails like these are often sent directly by spammers, they can also be forwarded to the contacts of an unsuspecting user. This is why your best protection is to use software that effectively filters and blocks spam.
Reliable spam filter tools
Unless you’re using a webmail account with an effective anti-spam tool, such as Gmail, you need reliable Internet security software, such as SPAMfighter and MailWasher. Like these two, SpamEater Pro, CA Anti-Spam Plus CA Website Inspector, ChoiceMail One, Spam Killer, Spam Buster, SpamNet, Spam Agent, and iHateSpam have also made it to the top 10 spam filters of 2010. The free edition of MailWasher bounces e-mails around in your server to make it appear as if your account is not valid.
As you can find plenty of anti-spam freeware having almost similar names, check malware and rogue software lists regularly to make sure that you’re not downloading one of them. Better yet, avail of anti-spam product free trials to find one that suits your needs best and then decide which to purchase.

Getting rid of junk mail wastes your time and tries your patience. Especially if your e-mail system has limited storage capacity, spam e-mail can cause you to miss an important message. The risks don’t end there. Aside from ads on products that you don’t really want, spamming is also a popular method cyber criminals use to phish. Free your inbox—and yourself—of spam now. Here are some tools you can use to ward off spam for good:
Purpose of email spam fighters
There are ways to keep spam off manually, like dismissing e-mails from unknown senders, safekeeping your e-mail address, and never responding to mails you suspect as spam. However, spammers are becoming more resourceful and creative. Unless you’d rather spend the first hour of your work day deleting junk from your inbox, the best thing for you to do is to install or sign up for a spam-fighting tool. They block, reject, filter out, and perform many other actions against spam to keep it from reaching your inbox.
Basic types of email spam fighters and how they work
Most webmail services today have effective built-in spam protection, such as Yahoo! Mail’s customizable SpamGuard and Gmail’s multiple authentication system. There are several kinds of anti-spam tools: authentication systems, such as Sender Policy Framework and DomainKeys; filtering systems, such as challenge/response, checksum-based, and country-based filters; and DNS-based Blacklists. Generally, these tools combat e-mail spam by checking the reputation of the source site and setting parameters against which the content or contact information of received e-mails are tested.
Aside from being a time-waster, spam e-mail can expose you to malware, phishing, and fraudulent transactions. To safeguard yourself against these risks, get a good anti-spam program, especially if you’re unsure if your e-mail system has internal spam protection.

Spam emails have always been a problem, not just for website administrators and server managers but us average Internet users too. In many ways, spam somehow manages to get into our emails. It’s always a wonder how these spammers get our email addresses and the like. This is where spam fighter brands come in. They are great shields for unwanted emails.
Top providers of spam fighter programs
There are several spam fighter brands available. Some of the most popular brands include the SpamFighter, ChoiceMail One, Spam Killer, CA Anti-Spam Plus CA Website Inspector and MailWasher Pro.
Tips when looking for a spam fighter tool
Not all spam fighter programs are created equal. There are good programs and there are those you’d be better off not using. Good programs allow as much user configuration as possible. This is because some emails may be mistaken as spam, and some spam may be mistaken as legitimate email. A user should be able to create a whitelist and blacklist for these email addresses. Likewise, this whitelist and blacklist should actually work. There are programs with such features but they don’t work as claimed.
A spam fighter program can be a great solution if you are plagued by unwanted emails. You just have to choose the right one so that yours won’t be a waste of money.

Scammers today have taken advantage of the convenience and anonymity that email offers. As a result, more and more email scams continue to victimize individuals. Read on to know more about email scams.
Types of email scams
Email scams today can be categorized according to the following topics: bogus business opportunities, diet and health email scams, discount software email offers, advanced fee schemes, and phishing emails. All of these emails have one goal: to dupe the reader into losing money or making his or her personal information available to scammers.
Signs of an email scam
To avoid falling into the trap, watch out for these signs:
- Fake communication details
- Suspicious links contained in the email message
- Unrecognized sender address
- Too good to be true offers
How to deal with email scams
To prevent becoming victims of email scams, enable the spam feature of your email. Also install an anti-virus program and firewall on your PC. If you think you've received a suspicious email, don't open it or read it and just delete it quickly. If you've become a victim of an email scam, report the incident to the authorities.

I truly appreciate the helpful and reliable anti-spam softwares that are downloadable in the Internet. You see, with all the crap of spammers filing your inbox with unwanted damn advertisements, it is truly a must for computer users these days to use the aid of a spam filter available today. There are really a bunch of them when you browse through the Internet, and you can choose which one is best for your anti-spam needs.

Among the available anti-spam softwares today, the SpamChoke AntiSpam software is a prime tool that you can use. It is a superb install-then-forget anti-spamming software that automatically ensures your inbox to be free of irritating spam mails. Take note that Windows compatible SpamChoke also supports various email systems like Eudora, MS Outlook, and Outlook Express. rest assured that if you use SpamChoke, the software will automatically read the email prgram you are using and will configure your email accounts to clear all spam mails.

As I have said, SpamChoke, which is a Proland software, is a superb software to prevent your email from receiving unwanted emails form spammers. The software lowers the percentage risk of your email account from spam mails as soon as you install SpamChoke in your computer. You can also improve its efficiency to block spam mails by simply configuring the customized filter sensitivity. Also, since the anti-spam software automatically functions, there is really no need for you to setup or update your email filter system.

There are lots of web mail service providers that are continuously improving the spam filtering functions of their service. With internet browsing capabilities now a possibility on handheld digital devices, these damn spammers are also increasing their work outputs. More and more people can now be reached through their direct marketing systems. But there are some paid web mail service providers that give you the same damn functions and features as of the other free service providers! One such web mail service provider is FastMail, and it is a fuckin' rip-off! Go ahead and try their service out yourself, but don't come crawling back with a damn loan request from me!
Saturday, April 21. 2007
Yes, this service provider offers lots of e-mail tools with an account on their web mail service. Plus, they also provide spam-filtering functions. Yet, most of these features and functions can be found on cheaper, even free providers who could give you with more of what these dweebs are offering! These motherfuckers think they could easily rip off people out of their hard-earned cash just by offering so-called additional functions, and their damn name. They forgot all about the free information available on the net! You should get some other free and paid mail service, or, better yet, just stick nine-inch nails through the fuckin' eyelids of these jokers when you get the damn chance! But I think that wouldn't be enough, you know, because of screen readers.
Friday, April 20. 2007
You should just get a free Yahoo! account than paying up for the FastMail shit they call service. These jokers don't know anything about what money is actually worth these days. Thus, they charge what they think is a measly amount for high-quality service. High-quality, my ass! Yahoo! provides better functions, and yet they don't charge people nothing for the same damn services! Up to you, man: either get something else or pay up some other service provider. But definitely, definitely stay away from this FastMail provider who'd rip your head off if given the damn chance to do so!

I don't know why these software programmers come up with such cheesy names for the programs they have designed and develop for serious things such as spam prevention! Maybe it adds up to the appeal of the program, or even makes such applications easier to promote by word of mouth. But would a natural Ramon-type American with a born in the USA tattoo be caught dead publicly stating that he uses Cloudmark Desktop for his spam troubles? Definitely not! Well, that is if these types of people are indeed troubled with spam! They may have lots of troubles, but I think spam wouldn't be on their brawl lists!
But spam is generally the problem of everyone, isn't it? Specially now that there's fast and affordable internet connections, people are now increasing in number when it comes to internet viewing and digital information accessing capabilities! Maybe this is the underlying concept behind those cheesy names that the programmers give their creations. Well, logically, a cheesy name such as Cloudmark Desktop would have appeal to the most number of internet instant messaging users, which these programmers generally think are composed of cotton candy munching and barn dance loving individuals, not to mention teeny-boppers and kids!
But this program has received a few good reviews which I have read. It is used with the Microsoft Outlook application, and it serves as a good anti-spam support for this electronic messaging client. I think you should try it yourself, for I only know of this program from the reviews that I have read. well, for one thing, this is because I don't want the time to come for me to publicly announce that I'm using an application with such a cheesy name, not to mention that I am indeed troubled by spam!

Don't we all just want to tell those nasty spammers how much we hate what they're doing? Isn't telling them to stop doing what they're doing enough to make them stop? No, it's never enough, especially if you're telling someone to stop doing what he does to sustain himself! Well, this generally holds firm ground on the basic aspects of life, and holds even firmer ground when applied to a spammer's perspective on spamming. Now, I think that would generally be a bad B-rated movie, you know. I mean, one that portrays a spammer's viewpoint in his spamming life!
Anyway, let's get down to the digital information platform, which is now regarded as a part of our lives. The spam mails that we receive each and everyday of our lives are basically annoying the crap out of us, and are causing us more time to compose ourselves and think of various ways and means in which to totally get rid of these spam issues. I think we should all stop being annoyed and start thinking of ways and means to functionally eradicate spam from the surface of the digital world!
Well, at least some of the software developers have gone great lengths just to help us all out with our spam problems. Sunbelt Software, that graciously good software development company, has an application in store for all of us who have Microsoft Outlook ready for our electronic messaging ventures. It carries the tag IHateSpam, which generally reflects the majority's perspective on spamming. I suggest you try out this program, and if it does not help reduce or even prevent you from receiving spam mails, then you're better off with another spam filter application. I, myself use this application, and it actually continues to reduce my spam mails! In the long run, I hope it helps me in totally preventing these spam mails I receive each and every annoying day of my spam-bombarded life!

Imagine your business' electronic messaging account, which you use to communicate with your vast clientele, being bombarded daily with about a thousand spam mails or so per day. Wouldn't sifting through a ton of everyday spam mail greatly hurt your business communications' performance? Even if you have a fast internet connection, it wouldn't save you from the problems brought about by spam. Come to think of it, it wouldn't even lessen the time it would take you to filter the real mails from your clientele from those actual spam mails!
With this, I give you a free tip in which could functionally prevent or actually reduce, spam mails from accumulating in your actual inbox with such pace and magnitude. The thing here is to use Mozilla's free program, Thunderbird, as an anti-spam electronic messaging client application! This program is highly advisable to those who have only started a business electronic mailing account just recently and fear being bombarded with spam mails daily. This is because this program can't be of much help to an electronic mailing account which already has spam problems of this magnitude! Using this program, I think, could only help prevent and reduce minor spam problems. This is because this program adjusts its own spam filtering settings to your messaging habits. Great for personal messaging accounts, but it would be assistance that would be negligible for large corporate electronic messaging accounts. I suggest you get a separate spam blocker or services of spam filtering from a well-known anti-spam solution provider in case you have a large network to maintain and monitor.

The breakthrough of faster internet connections resulted in more and more people having access to the information on the world wide web. With this, businesses and corporations now make it a point to have an internet site that advertises and markets their products and services. The internet is now a booming platform to advertise and market products and services, and every corporation and businessman know of this fact.
But, some companies see this digital information platform as a means for direct marketing strategies. Thus, they invest on direct marketing systems which they think would greatly increase their profits and reduce their promotional costs. I think we all know about a thing or two about direct marketing strategies with the advent of spam and spim. Yes, spam and spim are funded by some companies which rely on direct marketing systems for additional profits and a substantial rduction of promotional costs. Yet, most people are taking the necessary steps in which to prevent and reduce spam and spim. With this, software developers are vying for the top post as the provider of the most effective anti-spam application.
The NATATA Anti-Spam Encoder is a program which acts as a prime solution for webmasters who have spam problems. Webmasters are required to include on the pages of the internet sites they monitor and maintain their electronic mailing addresses. With this program, such posted electronic mailing addresses are encrypted. With appropriate encryption technology, such electronic mailing addresses are kept safe from the hands of the spammers of the world. Try it out and see the advantages it has in reducing or even totally preventing spam.

I'm quite sure you have heard of encryption programs for those electronic mailing addresses that are posted on the pages of your internet site. That is, if you're knowledgeable in the field of digital information technology, specifically the world wide web. Well, if you're a webmaster, then that makes you one step ahead of the pack! But even if you're not one, then you still have to use these programs since most of us have our own personal internet sites, and we have to include on some of the pages on such internet sites our electronic mailing address. Well, I guess that makes us all spam prone.
With this, I highly suggest getting the Mailto-Encrypter program, which is a Windows application to encrypt the electronic mailing addresses you post on the pages of your internet site. This program could probably reduce or even prevent spam from piling up in the inboxes of your electronic mailing accounts. But, if you have already posted an unencrypted electronic mailing address on the pages of not only your internet site, but on other internet sites as well, then I suggest you go and get another electronic mailing account! This is because your option for electronic mailing accounts that are already receiving spam is a good spam blocker or even a good spam filtering software.

More people own mobile phones than those who own computers, and even more people use mobile phones than those that use computers. With this, SMS has been widely accepted as a fast, cost-effective, and efficient means of communications. Yes, the rewards of the mobile communications development! But, with development comes its share of problems, and none of us are exempt on this long standing fact of life. Unless, in this case, you're technophobic and wouldn't even touch a microchip with a 30-foot pole!
As with direct marketing hindering us from an efficient means of digital information and communication access, spammers are now targeting mobile instant messaging, or SMS. Yes, there is now something we call spim. The term is an abbreviation of spam instant messaging on mobile phones, and it is exactly is what spam is for us with our PCs. Now the problem of spim is being addressed by a lot of groups as well as a lot of mobile service providers. But, we have learned from years of experience that currently, all our efforts were either used against us as well, or used to no avail.
So, it would be good to develop an anti-spam application for mobile phones as well through open source development. This would hasten the development process, not to mention build a functional program in which each's demand for an anti-spam application is met. Thus, I try not to think of the ubiquitous society in the brink of turning real through these ways and means of spammers and various direct marketing strategies.

Spam continuously haunts us on our e-mailing ventures as well as our e-mail service providers up until now. The main reason for this is maybe the spammers are either getting too bright for us, or we're not just doing the right thing. With the foolproof suggestions I have made on my last posts, I also have another to add up to the overall plan of setting up and maintaining a spam website.
This would be to use fast information technology development, specifically in the software department, against spam. How? Well, all we need to promote on the website is the development of a spam blocking application, to be done by the collaboration of the viewers of the website. The viewers of the said website would range from the anti-spam individuals who may be beginner software developers to individuals from the internet service providers who are digital communications and information technology gurus. With such a prospect workforce so as to develop a killer spam blocker or spam filter software, chances are we just have really something which would eradicate the negative effects of spam with this one! 'Cause not only would this method curtail, or even fully eradicate, the improper use of spam, but it would also further pace up the development of an application in which to use so as to fully control spam! Not just for the time being, but against future developments on spam from genius spammers of the world! This process would evidently come up with just the right anti-spam software because of the information available from anti-spam individuals, internet service providers, and pro-spam techs!

We always knew that nothing in this world can be free, be it even material things or abstract concepts, such as those high-tech electronic equipment, food, shelter, and security. We even have the idea that not even a healthy lifestyle is free, more so protection from harm! But now, things just did a sudden roundabout straight at our obscure faces - open source!
Linux is a computer operating system that is open source, which means that it is freely distributable, freely downloadable, and open for revisions and/or modifications. With communication and information technologies getting more seamless by the minute due to faster and faster internet connections, we are also faced with as much troubles as there are solutions, specifically that which involves spam, which are those unwanted e-mails piling up in your mailbox, potentially containing dangerous viruses, spyware, or trojans, and would perhaps remain unopened in your inbox due to the fear of losing important e-mails. But did you know that in the wonderful world of open source, protection from spam is free as well?
Yes, it is, with the release of Linux's open source spam protection application, aptly named SMTPGuard, which is from VA Linux Systems Japan, and was developed for servers. With this server tool, it promises more spam-free days for its clients, not to mention no lost e-mails whatsoever! So, for your spam protection needs under Linux servers, this program is well worth a try for its functionality, ease of use, and above all, 'cause it's free!

Yes, there are highly configurable modem accelerators which can act as pop-up blockers, download managers, website filtering agents, and even spam blockers! These modem accelerators not only boost your internet connection speed, but it also safeguards your computer from the hazards of opening those highly probable viruses and other malware as spams in your mailbox. Some are free to download, while some require you to, of course, cough up some of those hard-earned nuggets of yours - that's 'cause the software developers also have their needs for food, clothing, shelter and security!
So go and get that download accelerator, modem booster or internet connection tweaker. Just make sure that it has a spam-blocking feature, apart from a pop-up blocker and a built-in download manager. You've been looking for something worthy of your time and money that would help you put a stop to those unwanted emails piling up and causing your email space to get flooded with unopened mails from spammers.
Now, you have it in the palms of your hands! Just remember to read carefully the documentation that goes along with the software of your choice. Also, keep in mind the fact that it'll cost you more, be it time, money, or both, once your computer gets infected with those viruses contained in those unopened emails!
Plus, don't you dare touch any of the configuration settings that were either tweaked by your modem accelerator. Neither touch your computers default internet settings if you don't know what the are TCPs, TTLs, proxy, and ISPs. Yes, high-tech gadgets require knowledge, and if you don't have it, better leave those equipment in peace! Better in one piece, than in pieces - both those gizmos and your sanity!

Spams are causes of delay and sources of headache. There is no single resolution to spam problems. I have been trying to help myself by having softwares to fight spams. But, it is really sad to discover that the battle against spams will take forever.
A reliable software, I have learned from a friend, has been making its way for quite a long time now. I am sure you are already familiar with Qurb. The genius of Qurb is simplicity. Elegant, yet user-friendly, Qurb works best in filtering incoming e-mails. So far, it is the most well-bred software I have ever used. It asks questions before executing its features like the challenge message sending to dubious senders like junk e-mailers.
All in all, it is updated with watchdog features. Add to that the most complete database of e-mails and calendar of e-mail activities. The updates are automatically arranged by Qurb. One more thing, Qurb allows users to edit the database, while the features of the software are not interfered. Messages and alerts of Confirmation appear every time changes are made. Qurb belongs to the good ones that effectively filters messages, and therefore minimizes, if not eliminates, filthy computer crimes. But, bad news to non-Outlook 2000 users for this software will never work for your PC.

I do not have a personal computer, but I am still curious about the terms used by tech people. Nowadays, I often hear the word spam. Yeah, it sure does sound delicious to me, but in the computer world, a spam is a poison. So I tried to read some articles about spam antidotes.
I happen to browse the internet and found free security software called Ella. It's pretty interesting since the software bears the name of my best friend. Well, according to the article, Ella filters the spams in e-mails. I seldom send e-mails to my friends so I have not yet encountered a spam. But, the thought of having it in my e-mail scared me a lot.
The software guarantees effective filtering. It does the job of safekeeping important mails in the inbox and automatically puts newsletters on the specified folder. Amazingly, Ella stops spams. The idea struck me that I suddenly became interested with sending e-mails as often as possible. I would also like to test Ella. Besides, most computer shops use Microsoft Outlook so I can easily download Ella. Add to that that using the software is for free so I pay for the time I consume without spending a penny for my spam guard.

With illegitimate and offensive e-mails being sent in large quantities to businesses regularly, anti-spam softwares are essential components of the security of networks. Spam could be threatening and undoubtedly wastes a lot of network time. GFI MailEssentials offers spam protection and takes away the need for installation and updates anti-spam softwares on every desktop.
GFI MailEssentials quickly detects spams by utilizing the Bayesian method. There is no need for configuration, no false alarms, and it automatically adapts to the environments of the e-mails. GFI MailEssentials can eliminate almost all the spams from the networks. GFI MailEssentials also blocks phishing emails via a system of Uniform Resource Identifier and keyword identification.
Add to that the tools for e-mail management like disclaimers, monitoring, reporting, server lists, and replies. GFI MailEssentials is server-based and readily installs on the Gateway, thus taking away the hassles of administration and deployment products that are based on desktops anti-spams. A desktop-based software such as GFI MailEssentials requires its users some training in creating a set of rules for anti-spams and the responsibility to update the rules regularly. Aside from that, the system does not prevent the store of the server message from filling up with spams.
